The Power of Faith 1

Heb 11:6 faith is so vital. Christianity is a religion based on faith. Faith on the Living God and His Son Jesus Christ. When you take away faith from Christianity nothing remains. And that is why we need to work on our faith. Naturally, church is the agent of change in the society, church is the place where you learn about divine principles for living.

Church is a solution centre, church is a place of blessing and you have come to church and the man or woman of God begin to pronounce blessing on you, and you are blessed. And you don't go about noising that to everyone. But assuming in the cause of life, either is you back from church and you happen to meet a reputed occultist that pronounces courses on you and it is strange that though you claim to be a child of God you believe more in that curse than in the blessing.

How do I know that? Because some of you will go around and say, do you know that herbalist cursed me? Now ask yourself, How many time have you met with people and say, do you know that my Bishop blessed me yesterday? That means you believe more in the curses. And sometimes you come seeking for prayers to revoke the curse. I declare to you as a servant of God that you are not curseable. Gal. 3: 13

Christ has redeemed us from every curse of the law so that the blessings of Abraham can rest on vs. You have been redeemed Gen. 1:26,27,28 in the name of Jesus you are blessed. If you are sure you are part of that blessing say it to yourself" I cannot be cursed" Ps 91: 1-2 The enemy will come to challenge you, the enemy will come to tell you that you are not secured. Satan cannot mess you except by your approval. And that is why faith is so important.

Heb 11:6 I have never found it in the Bible which says, I was the life and the resurrection but rather I am the life and the resurrection, I am the door, I am the living bread, I am the living water, he is! Whatever you think God is small is He will be small to you. The God you know is the God you reflect - if you think God is He will be to you.

If you think God is big He will be big to you. And that He is a rewarder, not just people who come to church on Sunday. People who are interested in seeking God daily, they wake up in the morning and they want to hear from Him. Because communication with God is in two ways, as you are listening to Him God is speaking to you. As you read the Bible God is speaking to you, as you pray you are speaking back to God, as you sing you are speaking back to Him. He will respond.

Until you believe you don't get rewarded. Reward in God is attached to faith. Real faith is believing and receiving what God has revealed and it might be defined as absolute trust in the God of the Holy Scriptures and in Jesus Christ whom He has sent, receiving Him as Lord and saviour, and now submitting to Him in willful obedience and strive to please Him. Isa 1: 11, 12 That is the foundation of your faith. If you believe that Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the one, He who came to die for our sin you are qualified for heaven.

From the moment you have absolute trust in Christ and you have received Him, three things happen to you immediately John 5:24, number one thing is that you have everlasting life, number two is that you will not come into judgment, and number three is that you have passed from death into life. If anyone is not born again you are already dead. What is the meaning of death? Death is a separation. When someone is dead spiritually, it means he cannot communicate God effectively.

Your spirit has been separated from Him. It takes your receipt of Christ as the Lord and Saviour to bring you in. When they say somebody is spiritually dead it means that person is insensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. He cannot be led by the Holy Spirit. He can only have once in a while some influence of the Holy Spirit, but is separated.

When they say someone is dead physically, it means your spirit has been separated from your body, even if he put on the whole oxygen, the spirit has gone. Because is a spirit that is covered with a body, but has a soul. Soul is the seat of your emotion, your intellect. When you receive Christ you have immediately an everlasting life. You will not come into judgment and you have passed from spiritual death into life. You will now be sensitive to God and you can now have the revelation of God. Faith literarily is you believing the incredible. Faith is you seeing the invisible, though you may not be there but with your eye of faith you can see it.

And faith is you receiving the impossible, what men say is impossible when you stand in faith it comes to you. That is faith, the type of faith we are expected to have. Faith is not feelings. Faith many a times cannot be explained. Why are you sure? Because God says it. Why are you that confident? Because I have an inner conviction.

How do you know? I just know. Because I know He who has promised cannot fail. I know the God I serve Titus 1:2 He cannot lie. God is to big to lie. Whatever He says is the truth. The moment God speaks, He is prepared to change natural laws. Because He created the law. When God says it is final. Phil 4:13.
